What we are looking for:

  • Understand safe loading practices and audit loads
  • Invest in relationships by developing and maintaining responsible trucking sources to support DSCO shipping needs based on the variety of project demands
  • Understand specific project trucking needs, site requirements and limitations, as well as the nature of material being shipped
  • Coordinate trucking needs with production, project management and customers, and schedule accordingly
  • Develop, implement and execute good communication practices to ensure that ongoing and accurate information is provided to production, project management and customers
  • Maintain files for contract haulers to ensure complete and up to date insurance paperwork is on file
  • Maintain necessary records for certification of DSCO drivers
  • Stay up to date with applicable State and Federal Guidelines that impact shipping at DSCO
  • Maintain fleet of trailers, both owned and leased
  • Ensure in-house vehicles and trailers are compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements and where necessary, escalate identified issues to Maintenance and/or leasing. Responsible for maintaining all appropriate records and documentation.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service, in keeping with the appropriate DSCO standards and the changing needs of DSCO customers and applicable jobs sites.
  • Assist in resolving shipping challenges that ensures appropriate resolutions. Utilize the learning plan for future similar scenarios.
  • Stay up to date on shipping trends resulting from market change projections. Maintain ongoing reporting to management
  • Provide cost information to estimating and other DSCO departments as requested
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by management as needed
