Kevin Parks is participating in the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge. The Trailblaze Challenge is a 28.3-mile hike where participants can explore the terrain of the Foothills Trail. This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiasts.
As well as being a physical test, the real challenge is to raise much needed funds to grant the wishes of children in Central and Western North Carolina with critical illnesses.
The event takes place the weekend of 10/15-10/17 in Lavonia, GA. The hike begins at 3AM on 10/16 and he has until 7PM to complete 28.3 miles. Each participant is provided a weblink for their individual fundraising campaign. All proceeds go directly to Make-A-Wish foundation.
